Market Place

A new park for East Finchley

A newer, greener Market Place is here

After 5 months of construction work, Market Place Playground was returned to the community on 9th September 2024, and officially opened on 20th October 2024.

A huge thanks to everyone who has backed the project by supporting the vision of a natural space in the heart of East Finchley and donating to the project. Every one of you made a difference and we hope you love the transformed space.

Friends of Market Place are working hard to bring the history of the site to life in 2024/25. Are you an arts or heritage expert who could help? Check out this blog post to see how you could get involved.

Thank you local businesses

Donations from local businesses during our festive fundraising appeal added an impressive £5000 to the Market Place project budget. If you’re heading out for a shop, meal or drink – remember it is the grassroots local businesses who have supported our playground campaign – NOT the global chains. Thank you so much to all the High Road and N2 independent traders who make us proud to live here ❤️!
