Living is a British drama directed by Oliver Hermanus and starring Bill Nighy.

Bill Nighy was nominated for Best Actor and Living for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 95th Academy Awards.

Living tells the story of Rodney Williams, a London County Council bureaucrat in 1953 who works tirelessly with a group of women to petition the council to have a World War II bomb site redeveloped into a children’s playground. Friends of Market Place Playground are centred on a similar goal to transform Market Place playground in East Finchley into a natural playground and new park for children, young people and the whole local community to enjoy.

Renowned actress Carolyn Pickles will interview Bill Nighy before the screening of the film. 

Tickets cost £26 per person. £25 goes to Friends of Market Place Playground who sit under East Finchley Community Trust (registered charity number: 1141564) and £1 admin fee goes to the Phoenix Cinema. Online booking incurs an additional 70p fee. Tickets can be purchased online here or in person at the Phoenix Cinema. Seating will be unallocated.
